Fall of Mankind

Neal Frisby, SW058 The Most High God and the Fallen Lucifer, 2008

Neal Frisby,  The Wilderness Experience, CD#815 12/14/1980 AM

Before the fall of mankind:  Our greatest sin occurred before we were born. To fully understand the reason for the fall of mankind from heaven, we must consider the events prior to the fall, prior even to the creation of Time.  God created Time, the physical realm because he knew his creation would doubt him, some would even reject him, and they would require a saviour for redemption, or else all would be lost.  God's creation lost confidence in him, his divine plan is to restore that confidence in the Sons of God.

Where were we at the time of the Creation of the World (Time)?  Scripture shows us we were with God and known by God before we were born in the flesh. Before the "fall" we were clothed with glory and were not ashamed. God said in Job 38 that we (the sons of God) witnessed the very creation moment of Space and Time [the Big Bang].  God spoke (Gen 1:1) and the physical realm of space began, there was Time.

Genesis 2:25

And they were both naked [without the salvation garment], the man and his wife, and were not ashamed [because they had not yet sinned].

Jeremiah 1:4-5 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Job 38:1-7

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,...4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. 5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? 6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang together,
and
all the sons of God shouted for joy?

When did sin begin?  In Romans 3:23 the Bible says that everyone has sinned. But what about babies that die in infancy?  Are they "sinners"?  if not, then how is Romans 3:23 true?  Is it possible that we sinned before being born in the flesh?  Yes. In fact, we know by scripture Lucifer sinned in heaven.  He even caused a war in heaven, a war against God's Word.  Lucifer not only lost his confidence in the Lord God Almighty, he decided he could exalt himself and be worshipped.  There is no room in heaven for two masters.

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Ezekiel 28:13-16

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

War in Heaven:  Lucifer's sin in heaven led to a war in heaven!  Imagine that, a war in heaven!  What kind of war could there have been in a spiritual realm?  It was not a war of flesh and blood, but of mind, spirit, and soul.  A war against the authority of God's Word.  Satan was out to deceive the angels and cause them to reject God.  Praise Jesus, he cast them out of heaven.  But the war is not over, Jesus moved the war to earth.  Earth is the battleground where all souls are tested and tried for their faith in Him.  God's Word is the heart and soul of His Spirit.  We must accept His authorized Word as truth, without any doubt.

Revelation 12:7-9

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

John 4:23
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth [revelation truth of the Godhead]: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Job 23:10

But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

What about us? Did we sin in heaven? Was our sin the same as Lucifer's?  The heavenly realm is spiritual, not physical.  So none of the sins of the flesh were possible in that realm.  However, spiritual sin such as doubting God, was possible.  Doubting God's word is "evil".  Like Eve, by hearing Lucifer's false narrative in heaven, there was doubt among the Sons of God.  This parallels what happened to Eve in the Garden, she accepted the false narrative of the serpent even though it conflicted with the true Word God told her.

Genesis 3:1-6 & 13
1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: [the lie that caused Eve to doubt] 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

Hebrews 3:12

12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

What was the cause of the fall? Scripture tells us that Lucifer's fall from heaven was his desire and determination to be equal to God and that he exchanged God's Word of truth with a lie.  He did not want to serve the Lord, he wanted the Lord to serve him!  This was the opposite of God's divine nature and fruit of God's Spirit.

Isaiah 14:12-14

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou [Lucifer] hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Ezekiel 28:16-19

By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. 18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick [exchanging God's Word for another]; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. 19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

God's Divine Love and Redemption Plan: The Lord God knows all, he foresees all!  He knew from the moment he created the sons of God (all of us), that we would sin, and need redemption.  He created the wilderness, space and time for his redemption plan.  He planned to give his own life for his creation.  But how is it possible for the eternal God?  With the Lord God all things are possible!  He created the physical realm to be born in the flesh and sacrifice his life for us to be redeemed.  What a glorious plan!

John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Romans 4:7-8

Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Galatians 5:22-26

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law [of nature]. 24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Sins of the flesh: The sin and very nature of the flesh is to war against the Spirit.  We must conquer the sins of the flesh or sin will consume and destroy our spirit and soul.  To focus on our physical desires and needs more than our spiritual walk with the Lord, is sinful.  But, there is hope, Jesus conquered the sins of the world!  Whosoever walks in God's Spirit is set free!

Romans 8:6 - 7
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity  against God: [an enemy, the opposite of friendship]

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Galatians 5:16-21
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit [God's Spirit not our own spirit], and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. [unless they have a true repenting heart and be converted, and turn away from their wickedness]

1 John 2:15
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Romans 8:1 & 2

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 8:12

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him [through the wilderness experience], that we may be also glorified together.

Sins of the Spirit:  Spiritual wickedness  Sins of the flesh lead to sins of the spirit. Spiritual sins from the heart and soul such as doubt, rejection of God's Word as truth, worship of false gods or doctrines, condemn our spirit.  Those that reject the Lord God Almighty, His Word, and Spirit, are given over to reprobate minds.  Likewise, sins of our spirit, lead to sins of the flesh.

Romans 1:28
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Genesis 6:5-6
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Isaiah 30:1

Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Purging and Cleansing of Heaven: In conclusion, the purpose of the fall of mankind [mankind's sentence to spend time in the flesh] is to restore back that which was lost, purity in heaven.  The Lord God created a physical realm where the sins of the hearts and souls of all are made manifest and exposed.  Those that repent, are converted, and believe the gospel, receive everlasting life!

Luke 8:17

For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

John 3:16-17
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Acts 3:19
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Romans 8:37-39
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:1

1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Revelation 22:10-11
10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
