Luke 15:8-10

8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? 9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. 10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Perspective

This parable shows us how important each soul is to Christ Jesus.  In Ezekiel the Lord God says that all souls belong to him.  He created each and every person.  And Jesus died for all.  Yet not all will repent and accept his gift of salvation.  Oh, how the Lord rejoices when we humble ourselves, ask for His forgiveness, and desire to know Him in His Word.

Ezekiel 18:4

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Psalms 34:22

The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants.

1 John 2:1-2

1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

"So, you've got a heavenly name and a number in heaven. And He knows you personally and you will respond to that. No one can take that identity. And you may not know that you've got an identity with God, but you've got an identity and you're just identified as Christ was identified! And you'll be identified with that and you'll be a child of the Lord. So you are having an identity with the Lord -- you're a personality! God made you and He knows you! He knows exactly what number you've got! He doesn't lose track of anybody. Can you say amen?"
