The Bible definitely teaches men were transported in different ways. Ezekiel 3:12-14 said when he heard the noise of the wheels he was carried away in this glory of the Lord! Daniel 8:2 reveals he was transported to Shushan by some form of the Spirit and in a vision. Then also in 1 Kings 18:12 reveals Elijah was taken away by strange means. We know the great Elijah finally left in a wheel of fire, 2 Kings 2:11.
Elisha saw chariots 2 Kings 6:17 and the mountain was just full of the chariots of fire. In addition, Philip was transported supernaturally to Azotus. Acts 8:39-40 The eunuch was in the earthbound chariot so Philip may have gone away in a heavenly bound chariot. The same kind of words was used in verse 39, and he saw him no more, were used also in 2 Kings 2:11-12 where a chariot of fire appeared and carried away Elijah in a celestial craft transportation. Ezekiel 3:12-14
Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the Lord from his place. 13 I heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great rushing. 14 So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.
Daniel 8:2
And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.

2 Kings 2:11-17
And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
2 Kings 6:17
And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
Luke 4:28
28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, And rose up, and thrust him [Jesus] out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. 30 But he passing through the midst of them went his way, 31 And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days. 32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.
