Matthew 13:44-46

44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Perspective

A Revelation Mystery of Heaven is like unto A Merchant Man (Jesus), seeking Goodly Pearls (Salvation Believers):
Who, when He had found One Pearl of Great Price, went and sold all that He had (at the cross), and bought it.

Each soul redeemed by God is a pearl of great price.  Great price places emphasis on the cost.  Our Creator gave up all that he had, he left His Throne, lowered himself in flesh, and sacrificed his life to pay the price of our sins.  And, even if only one soul were to be redeemed, he would willingly and joyfully pay that cost!

Hebrews 2:9

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Many revised bibles (diversions) replace the word "price" with "value".   This change diverts attention away from the sacrifice that Jesus made for us.  We fell from grace and lost our "value" when we doubted God's Word.  We accepted the word of another (a deceiver).  Like Eve when she determined the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil was "good for food".

Genesis 3:6

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

We are born into this world in sin, because of doubt in God's Word.  We must be redeemed to be worthy to enter back into the Kingdom of Heaven.  Jesus Christ is the only one worthy to pay the price for our redemption because He is our creator.  He paid the ultimate "price", he sacrificed his life for us.

Revelation 5:1-10

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? 3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. 5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. 7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. 9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
